| Ariel was born into a family of richly mixed culture;. These uniquely different cultural heritages introduced Ariel to centuries of age old traditions and two undeniable senses of style. At age 4 Ariel recalls standing in awe before a painting with his mother and whispered in her ear; "I'm going to be a painter one day too". She knew he was destined for Art. With the tragic death of Ariel's father at age 8, Ariel and his family moved to Mexico to live with his grandmother. During his time in Mexico, he was introduced to the many beauties of his mother's country; the beautiful music, the lavish costumed attire of the natives, and the air of pride that fills the hearts and minds of the Mexican people. Ariel's schooling leaned toward the arts. If he wasn't molding small sculptures out of clay, he was scratching countless drawings in his sketchbook. So, it was only logical for Ariel to pursue a Fine Arts Degree at the University of Mexico. By studying the works of the great artist that came before him, his passion was ignited and his determination proved to be unstoppable. Upon graduating, Ariel became one of the youngest teachers to instruct art in a high school. Ariel moved to USA representing a new start in his true passion: Art! His first exhibition came with the opportunity to be in an international showcase -The Winter Olympics 2002. Immediately following were numerous exhibitions around the globe. It isn't hard for one to see in Ariel's work how intrigued webs of brush strokes have delicately communicated his passion for his cultural heritage. The lives of his people, their hopes and dreams, the sights, sounds, and colors of both Italy and Mexico can be found deep within the very paint on each canvas. |
